Apostille Document Processing

Need a document authenticated for another country? I will review your documents, submit them to the State for an apostille then return them to you. Only the Office of the Great Seal issues Michigan apostilles.

Where can I get an apostille in Michigan?

In Michigan, apostilles are issued only by the Office of the Great Seal, part of the Secretary of State. In-person service is by appointment on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30 to 4, at select offices, including Clinton Township and Detroit.

Same-day apostille processing is available on Mondays and Wednesdays, by State appointment.

An apostille authenticates a document for use in a country in the Hague treaty. It is not for use inside the United States. The State charges $1 per document.

Birth, death and marriage records must be certified copies from the county clerk or the state registrar. A document in another language requires an English translation.

I review your documents, complete the request form with you, submit the documents to the State and return them to you. Apostille document processing starts at $149 plus the $1 state fee. Same-day processing starts at $249.
